Nutrition Information

This is for parents/players who wanted more information regarding proper nutrition and wanted to know what to do during the hockey season. I want to give a shout out to the players that came to the workout facility all summer to trained hard, that show the dedication and commitment to be a winner.

No matter the outcome I am proud of each and every one of you. My reward is the success stories that come from the workouts. These young men are learning the sacrifices to be stronger, bigger, and faster!!!  Remember to hydrate, eat right, and get plenty of rest.

Go Scots!

Hi,

I’m Dan Regala, the strength and conditioning coach for the Dallas Scots Hockey Association and Workout 101, LLC. I have been a Certified Fitness Professional since 1990.

The key to being a high performance athlete is proper conditioning. Because it is the hockey off season a lot of players make the mistake of NOT continuing their conditioning. If anything, this is the prime opportunity to expand upon the months of playing and conditioning that has already taken place.

There are 3 fundamental points to be that high performance athlete:
1. Proper off season conditioning
2. Establishing a fitness base routine and sticking with it
3. Devoting 8-12 weeks for the program and monitor the development

The off season is golden opportunity to build the stamina and strength you need to eliminate the chance of injuries, such as chronic groin problems, flexibility problems, knee problems to name a few.

I have provided some information below on stretching and Sports Nutrition:
